But before you dive into it, I want to tell you something I wish I’d known when I was still in the classroom:

You don't have to stop teaching just because you can't keep teaching the way you are now.

I really thought that I had to either teach for someone else or not teach at all. Discovering that I could teach for my own business changed EVERYTHING.

Because I LOVE teaching.

I love my students. I love my content area. I love those moments when something finally clicked for a student, and you could practically see the lightbulb turn on.

What I didn't love was everything that came with being a classroom teacher.

- The workload and new initiatives that never seemed to end.

- The politics, cliques, and unwritten rules.

- The nagging feeling that there was always something else I should be doing.

- The fact that no matter how much I cared or how hard I worked, I couldn't create the kind of time, flexibility, or financial breathing room I wanted in my life.

And for a long time, I thought my choices were limited:

- Stay and keep pushing through.

- Or leave teaching altogether.

Turns out, there was another option.

I could change anything I wanted about the way I taught. The who, when, where, how, and for how much (even the content, but I love my content).

That's what eventually led me to build MyFrenchU, leave the classroom, and create a teaching business that allowed me to keep doing the parts of teaching I love without having to build my entire life around the school calendar.

And once I figured out how to make that work for me, I started helping other teachers do the same.

That journey is what we're going to talk about over the next few weeks.

Not “quit your job and become an entrepreneur overnight.”

Not “work harder, and you'll eventually figure it out.”

And definitely NOT adding another 17 things to your already-full teacher to-do list.

We're going to talk about what it actually looks like to take the expertise you already have as a teacher and build a private teaching business around your skills, your life, and the kind of work you actually want to be doing.

You don't need to become a different person to make this work.

BUT you may need to shift your thinking around the work you do.

Start with your guide (if you don’t have it already). It will help you avoid some of the mistakes I see teachers make when they first start thinking, Maybe I could actually do this.

And then keep an eye on your inbox.
