What would teaching look like if YOU called the shots?

Hi Reader, So what does this other version of teaching actually look like? It can look a lot of different ways. Maybe you teach three afternoons a week and have the rest of your week to yourself. Maybe you work from home. Teach adults instead of kids. Specialize in the subject you love most. Maybe you keep teaching full-time for now and build your private practice on the side. Or maybe you don’t know what you want it to look like yet. That’s okay. Because one of the things I love most about private practice teaching is that there isn’t one right way to do it. You get to decide. Who you teach. What you teach. When you teach. How much you work. And, yes, what you charge. You don’t have to choose between making a living and having a life. That’s what I discovered when I left the classroom in 2020 and started teaching French privately. At first, I was just figuring it out as I went. How do I find students? What do I charge? How do I make enough money doing this? And how do I make sure I haven’t just created another job I want to escape from? I figured it out. Not overnight. Not perfectly. But I learned how to build a teaching business that actually supported the life I wanted to live. And eventually, I realized I could help other teachers do the same. That’s why I created The Private Practice Teacher®. Over the next few emails, I’m going to share more of that journey. I want you to see what’s possible when you stop trying to fit your life around your teaching career and start building a teaching career around your life.
