Dear Reader, This weekend at a family dinner, my mother-in-law, a former preschool teacher, shared that she just had a school dream earlier in the week. She left the classroom over a decade ago!! I'd had one too, but I've only been out for 5 years. But it got me thinking about the teacher traits that stick with us long after we leave the classroom. (Look for a link to that blog post next week.) The quirks follow us: school dreams, bathroom sprints, the look that still sneaks out at the grocery store. But some habits aren’t funny at all. Like the way we normalize pushing past exhaustion or forgetting how to rest without a school calendar telling us when it’s allowed. And if this strikes a chord, you might also enjoy revisiting an older post: OR Nothing Beats Community. It’s the one I resurfaced in my reel from last year’s retreat, and it’s all about why community matters so much in healing from those old teacher scars. ✨ One more thing: there’s only one week left to grab the Mindset Module for free. It’s the part of my T2E 90-Day Intensive that helps teachers recover from burnout and build sustainable self-care habits. It's the very antidote to those lingering patterns we just talked about. Use code FREETRIAL here: Mindset Module We may never stop using the look or the voice in public. But together? We can stop normalizing burnout. With you always, Want to learn more about PPT? It’s about standardized tests, burnout, and why so many teachers feel like they have to work against the system to actually teach. 🤦🏻♀️ And more importantly, what becomes possible when you’re not. 👓 Why Teaching Feels Impossible Right Now 🎙️ On the podcast this...

Hi Reader, I’ve always loved Halloween! The creativity, the costumes, the excuse to eat peanut butter cups by the handful. What's not to love? But as a private practice teacher, I love it even more! Because between pumpkins and report cards is one of the most overlooked (and fun) ways to market your teaching/tutoring business … without needing a single social media post. Here’s what I mean: This time of year, your ideal client, the parent or caregiver of a student who might need extra...
